I was invited to contribute to a voter guide project for the general election in Chicago, organized by Chicago Votes.

My role was to design a few pages with a strong Chicago theme, incorporating local symbols, imagery, and textures to create a fun and engaging layout.
Despite a tight deadline, I successfully executed the designs, delivering visually compelling pages that aligned with the city’s vibrant identity.

For this project, the objective was to create a visually engaging layout rooted in the identity of Chicago. I utilized original photographs I had taken throughout the city, emphasizing its textures and architectural details to create a strong sense of place. The color palette drew inspiration from recognizable local elements, such as the stars of the Chicago city flag and the colors of the CTA transit lines.

The text spreads were intentionally designed as flexible background layouts to accommodate text overlays, with color coordination applied across the spreads to maintain visual harmony and readability.
